Our Gourmet Team
Since 2002, the gourmet menus at Restaurant Haerlin** have been shaped by Christoph Rüffer. The focus is on imaginative compositions characterized by fresh, seasonal ingredients, skillfully combined flavors, and sometimes surprising textures. Regionality and a love for the product meet the highest level of excellent culinary craftsmanship.
The artistry and outstanding dishes of Christoph Rüffer have always fascinated and inspired Christian Scholz. As a sommelier, he guides our guests through the impressive selection of fine wines.
With passion and expertise, our Restaurant Manager Marius Jürke welcomes guests to Restaurant Haerlin**. Starting at the Hotel Residence in Essen, his journey led the trained hotel management specialist to the MS Europa. Not only was it part of his vision to one day call the Hanseatic city of Hamburg home, but also to experience Restaurant Haerlin** as his place of work, a dream he envisioned even while at sea.

In the middle of the newly designed kitchen event area, up to eight guests at the Chef’s Table can watch Christoph Rüffer and his team hard at work behind the scenes at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten while enjoying a champagne aperitif or gourmet dinner.
